A plinthed steam locomotive in the Free State town of Fauresmith, where the train used to travel down the main street, the only town in South Africa where this happened, until the branch line from Springfontein, laid down in 1905, was closed in 2001. In the background is the historic town hall. Fauresmith was named after the Reverend Phillip Faure and Sir Harry Smith.
