Memorial to Scottish Highlanders, in the shape of a Celtic cross, at Magersfontein where they fell in battle during the early stages of the Anglo-Boer War, 1899 to 1902. British forces were defeated in their attempt to relieve the besieged city of Kimberley. Major General Andrew Wauchope, who commanded the army brigade, was among the fallen heroes.
