Old hand-pulled ferry at Malgas on the Breede River in the southern Cape. Three burly men pull the ferry across tghe river. They each wear a leather shoulder harness to which is attached a length of chain. The chain is slung around the guide cable which runs across the river the men proceed to pull by walking the length of the ferry and going to the start and walking once again.
