The Atlas Cheetah C jet fighter was derived from the French-built Dassault Mirage III, and equipped with improved systems and a more powerful Snecma Atar 09K50 engine. Now retired from the South African Air Force (SAAF), the aircraft belonging to Denel Aeronautics, shows the glow of its afterburner as it banks away in a flying display in Pretoria.
