The warm light of a Karoo sunrise turns the white Dutch Reform Church in Prince Albert to light orange. The church was built in 1865 in the form of a Greek cross and is of neo-gothic style. The British forces used the church as a fort and lookout tower during the Anglo-Boer War of 1899-1902.
