The Medal of the Second Madagascar Expedition (1895) on display in the Armistice Museum in the Forest of Compiègne (Forêt de Compiègne) near Compiègne in France. French general Louis Auguste Adrian (1859 – 1933) was awarded by this French commemorative medal known as the Madagascar commemorative medal (Médaille commémorative de Madagascar). The Armistice Museum is located on the ground of the Glade of the Armistice where the Armistice of 11 November 1918 that ended the First World War was signed.
