The Joint Special Committee to whom was referred thecommunications from the Board of Health, recommendingthat further interments in the tombs in Kings Chapel andGranary Burying-grounds be prohibited, beg leave to submitthe following report: — Agreeably to the provisions of Chapter 182 of the Acts of1877,^ notice was given to the owners of tombs in the aboveburying-grounds to appear before the committee at a timespecified, and show cause why each and all of said tombsshould not be closed. The hearing relating to the Granary Burying-ground wasgiven on the 15th of July last, and, at the request of theproprietors of tombs, a second hearing was given on the 31stof July. The hearing concerning the Kings Chapel Burying-groundwas given on the 22d of July, and was adjourned to the 4thof September. An abstract of the evidence and argume
