Common Screwpine, Pandanus utilis, Pandanaceae. Tenerife, Canary Islands. Pandanus utilis, the common screwpine is, despite its name, a monocot and not a pine. It is native to Madagascar and naturalised in Mauritius and the Seychelles but grown in other countries with suitable climates.
