The Old Grammar School in the centre of Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The timber portion of the Old Grammar School was erected in 1614 by Robert Smyth. It was set upon on posts to provide shelter underneath for market people in bad weather. A brick section was added later in 1868. The whole building was restored in 1978. The current Grammar school (situated in Burnmill Road) is named The Robert Smyth School in his memory. The red brick building behind houses the Council Offices, Museum and Library.
