Wall of graffiti and small ads, America Mura, Osaka, Japan
Since the 1970s, America-Mura (America Village) has been a centre of youth culture in Osaka. The streets are crammed with used clothing stores, miscellaneous goods shops, cafes, galleries and more. The area got its name from the import shops selling miscellaneous goods from America which were set up here around 30 years ago. There are performances and flea markets on weekends, which create a lively, fun, youthful, atmosphere .The ambience is similar to that of Harajuku, in Tokyo.
