Vishnu the baby snow leopard did his best to make it a white Christmas this year as he made his first tentative steps into the world. The five-month old cub is one of only 17 snow leopards in the UK and made his first public appearance at Marwell Zoo in Winchester, Hants. Snow leopards are one the most endangered species in the world and originate from the mountains of central Asia in war torn countries such as Afghanistan.
