Golden, Colorado - An impression of a palm frond along the Triceratops Trail is evidence that Colorado had a tropical climate 68 million years ago. The trail in suburban Denver allows access to footprints of dinosaurs and traces of other animals and plants from the Late Cretaceous period. The fossils are located in a former clay mine.
