An Indian pata, Tanjore, 17th century Long, double-edged blade, mounted at the riveted root with chiselled flowers. Slightly openwork iron hand and wrist guard with lower cannon ornamentally engraved with scrolling animals. The interior forearm bar and grip are later additions. Length 132 cm.
