Vegetable Squash fruit on the vine

The photograph shows a small yellow vegetable squash fruit on the vine. Vegetable squashes are best grown in warm weather but need regular watering and feeding for best results. The fruits are left to ripen and the skin harden before immediate use, or storage of up to 5 months. Variety ' Red Kuri'.Cucurbita maxima onion squash the Hubbard squash group. Great taste and texture – waxy and sweet, tasting of chestnuts but doesn't get too huge.
