An early print showing a sectional view of the Rotunda in Leicester Fields (now Leicester Square), London with visitors looking at panoramas painted on the walls. The purpose built building was designed by Robert Mitchell to exhibit the panoramic paintings of Robert Barker (1737-1806) and had a lower and upper circle to view one of two panoramas for an entrance fee of one shilling. The building still exists and is now used as the Roman Catholic Church of Notre Dame de Franceas.
