Heavy octagonal barrel with rifled bore in calibre mm with patent breech-plug, bottom barrel rib and a re-filled rear sight dovetail notch. Dovetailed tube front sight with adaptable dioptre. Engraved percussion lock with hair trigger, bolt plate signed "DESTRAZ A MOUDON". Walnut half stock with iron fittings and detachable wooden palm rest. Wooden ramrod replaced.
