Setora nitens is an elegant yet slightly dangerous to the touch yellow caterpillar which is covered in hollow spines seen here with macro detail on a green plant leaf. Setora nitens caterpillar will inflict mild pain if touched but nothing too serious, rather like a bee or wasp sting. The hollow spines can deliver a small amount of toxins which will enter the body and can cause itchiness or a rash which will subside after a while.
