Female body louse (Pediculus humanus corporis), dorsal view. This louse feeds on human skin and blood, and infests people of world-wide. It is normally only found on people with poor hygiene, or who have no access to clean bedding and clothing. The body louse is a vector for several diseases such as louse-borne relapsing fever, typhus, and vagabond's disease.
