There is good duck-shooting on the Kheo Eiver, on thebanks of which, near Noih, a woodcock and a couple of snipewere bagged. Earn chikor were found in large numbers to the west ofMemar Chhaka, and near all the villages in the Brahmaputravalley between Lhatse and Saka. During the night thebirds come down to the fields to feed, and in the earlymorning are to be found wending their way slowly up thehillsides.
