Frederick III, Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm Nikolaus Karl, of Prussia (1831 – 1888) was German Emperor and King of Prussia following the death of his father Wilhelm. His reign lasted ninety-nine days until his death in 1888 - which became known as the Year of the Three Emperors.
