VARIOUS PRIMULAS. The following varieties are of the easiest culture in greenhouse or light window of dwelling-house, flower- ing abundantly and continuously with little care, and should be sown during the spring in good porous loam. They will not ger- minate well in leaf mould. To de- velop the colors to the highest de- gree grow in heavy soil and at a tempeiature as near to 60° as pos- sible. PER PKT. 3826 Obconica Grandif lora. A profuse on long stems, heads con- taining 10 to 15 flowers. Pure white, shading to lilac. (See cut). 10 3827 Obconica Fimbriata. A fring- ed variety of the above. The flow ers being as finely fringed as the Chinese Fringed Primrose 15. 3828 Obconica fimbriata carmine. This variety is the brightest colored of this type, being a rich carmine. 20 3831 Obconia Compacta. A fine dwarf, compact growth growing form of this fine Primrose 25 Primula Foreesi (Baby Primrose). 3823 Forbesi. (Baby Primrose). This is the freest flowering primula we know of. The little plants throw up tiny flower stalks when only a few weeks old. These should be pinched off and the plants kept growing until October, and from then on until late in spring they produce their sprays of beautiful rosy-lilac flowers in seemingly never-ending profusion. (See cut). 25 3822 Floribunda. Of the same general character as Obconica, differing only in color of the flower, which is a lovely shade of yellow 25 HARDY PRIMROSES. These are among the best of the early spring blooming plants. With a slight protection they will stand the winter, but will do better if protected by
