Arrow-shaped lake fishing nets called cocullo in Italian. They are seen from above and are in Lake Bolsena, central Italy.

These arrow-shaped fishing nets are called cocullo. They may only be used in lakes and may have, as in this picture, two side wings and a central wing, called a longarina. Once positioned in the water, cocullos can remain there for an entire season; they are then periodically checked by fishermen who remove the caught fish and maintain and clean the gear by lifting only the end.
