Gunnera tinctoria flower spike.


Gunnera tinctoria or Chilean rhubarb is particularly known for its large leaves and has been introduced as an ornamental plant to many areas outside its native Chile and Argentina. It can grow up to 2m tall with leaves of diameter. In Spring it develops spikes of inflorescences with small flowers. It can be very invasive and is recognised as a plant pest in a number of areas.
