Europe Italy Piedmont Turin Valentino's park La fontana dei 12 Mesi ( (Twelve months fountain) The Fountain of the Twelve Months, work carried out on a project by Carlo Ceppi for the National Exhibition of 1898, inaugurated to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Albertine Statute. It 's consists of a large oval tub, which precipitates a foaming waterfall, surrounded by a balustrade adorned with statues - performed by various artists (including Luigi Contratti, Edoardo Rubino and Cesare Biscarra) - representing the twelve months of 'year and the four seasons. A synthesis of the first hints of flowers and nostalgic rococo style reminiscent of Art Nouveau and the strange arrangement of the tank is due to the slope of the land. Legend has it that it was built in the place where the prince fell into the Eridanus Egyptian Po This fountain seems to have been highly appreciated by Edmondo De Amicis (poet and writer), especially for the ideal situation in the Parco del Valentino. In the same park, there are other beautiful fountains, including the Fountain of light and the Butterfly Fountain. post of Turin
