1933 Portrait of Samuel Ingleby Oddie (1870-1945), a naval surgeon and later a barrister at law and leading coroner for Central London. He was a specialist in crimes that revealed suspicious circumstances. He was a founder member of the Crimes Club, consisting of professionals involved in criminal law which the Crimes Club which helped to bring about the Court of Criminal Appeal Act 1907, and many aspects of modern forensic science and the justice system. The Oddsie family memorial stands in Saint Mary’s Churchyard Pateley Bridge.
