Municipal Buildings, Greenock

Greenock's municipal buildings (council headquarters). Constructed in 1886 to a competition winning design by architects H & D Barclay, the building highlighted Greenock's victorian prosperity by rivalling the grandeur of Glasgow City Chambers. This view is from Clyde Square, looking towards the main entrance arcade.
