The peace lime tree near Kohlstetten was planted after the end of the German-French War of 1870/71 in the spring of 1871 in the Gewann Steigäcker. On March 21, 1940, the lime tree was declared a natural monument. Already at that time it had a trunk circumference of m and a height of 20 m. Today its trunk is partly hollow.
