Integration of Orion Capsule on Space Launch System

Integration of the Orion spacecraft on top of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA. The European Service Module (ESM), which will power Orion's crew module around the Moon, was lifted onto the rocket on the 20th October 2021 and integration was completed six days later. The spacecraft is being prepared for Artemis I, which will be the first uncrewed mission test flight of NASA's Artemis program. The Artemis program aims to land the first woman and the next man on the Moon by 2024. Artemis I is scheduled to launch in late 2022.
