During the summer the of- fices which formerly lay between the salesroom and the workroom were torn out and the space added to the sales- room, practically doubling its size. The interior woodwork of the old store was matched perfoetly in developing the added space and the decorations, in ivory and gold, were supplemented by new" lighting fixtures. The salesroom was made to look even larger than it is by large plate mirrors in the rear wall, shutting off the workroom. The oflices were moved to the second floor, where convenient quarters were built for the accounting department, with a neat pri- vate office for the president of the com- pany. Even before the work was fin- ished business began to increase, Sep- tember showing a gain of one-third over last year. ^ ^ Edward Endera, president of L. A. Samuclson, Inc., says the directors are more than pleased with the results of the last year's business. It exceeded all previous records as to volume and would have done so as to profits had it not been for the loss sustained in the failure of their bank, the extent of which has not yet been determined. Mr. Enders says their location has been improving markedly of late.
