The Memorial to the 39th Fusilier Regiment at Reeser Platz in Düsseldorf, Germany, completed in 1939 shortly before WW2 started.

The "39er Denkmal" was completed shortly before troops marched into Poland at the start of world war 2. It depicts the glorification of war by the Nationalsozialist (Nazi) party , and shows soldiers arising from the grave and marching with unbroken will into battle. It survived destruction after the war ended as it was considered to be a memorial to the fallen soldiers.
