A whimsical sign and vintage tools decorate a cedar float house at Sullivan Bay Marina, a remote floating village in the Broughton Archipelago, BC.

Sullivan Bay is on North Broughton Island, about 450 km north of Vancouver. In 1945 an old float camp was towed there and a seaplane harbour, fish camp, store and post office were established, and it was a busy seaplane base through the 1950s. In 1971 it was converted to a tourist resort. It is accessible only by boat, plane or helicopter and today has a community of float homes as well as a store and docks and facilities for visiting boats.
