Astronaut Thomas Jones using a portable computer during Shuttle Mission STS-59 (4/09/94-4/20/94). Jones has anchored himself in place using his bedding in his bunk, creating the illusion that he hasn't got out of bed. The computer he is using is one of several portable units carried on the Shuttle. All of these may be connected via a modem network to the main computer on the spacecraft.
