The Flandersbach lime plant in Wuelfrath, North Rhine-Westphalia, was founded in 1903. It is the largest lime plant in Europe. It is operated by Lhoist Germany Rheinkalk GmbH, a subsidiary of the Lhoist Group, the world's largest manufacturer of lime and dolomite products.
