In this variety, an introduction from China, we have almost a counterpart, excepting that its flowers are fully double the size. These appear simultaneously with the leaves. The plant is not hardy north of Washington, but makes an excellent subject to train on a trellis as a pot plant; grown in this way its bright yellow flowers are much admired as a window plant. 25 cts. each. Lagerstroemia Indica (Crape Myrtle) This is one of the prettiest Shrubs and while hardy south of the Potomac requires protection in this latitude. Grown in large pots or tubs, specimens 6 to S feet high can be produced with little difficulty, and which for two or three months in summer will be covered with delicate soft pink flowers. Strong plants, $ each. Pandanus (Screw Pine) Veitchi.
