Coffee fruit ripening on a coffee plant (Coffea arabica). This is the 'nana' dwarf variety. The fruits contain the coffee beans. C. arabica is native to Ethiopia and is believed to have been the first species of coffee to be cultivated. It has been cultivated for over 1000 years. Photographed in southern Ethiopia.
