Wall decorations from an unidentified house in Pompeii. Illustration drawn by V. Loria and lithographed by Victor Steeger from Emile Presuhn's "Choix des plus Belles et Interessantes Peintures de Pompei," Weigel, Leipzig, 1882. German archeologist Presuhn (1844-1881) lived in Italy for eight years and, with Mr. Discanno, made exact copies of many wall paintings that are now lost.
