A beautiful, front-lit, closeup, single specimen of a Woolly Waterlily or frogsmouth(Philydrum lanuginosum) in the foreground with blurred background.

Philydrum is a genus of tufted, herbaceous, aquatic macrophyte plants, one of three genera constituting the plant family Philydraceae. Philydrum lanuginosum is the sole known species. They are commonly known as frogsmouths and woolly waterlilies. Woolly frog's mouth is a water garden plant producing scentless flowers that last one day. It is a popular plant in lily ponds but is an aggressive weed in Chinese and Asian rice paddies where it spreads through self-pollination.
