(6) Solution of 2 volumes of 0-5 KOH to i volume of pure glycerine.

During the next 24 hours glycerine was added a little at a time until the specimen could safely be transferred to pure glycerine containing a thymol crystal as preservative. The untreated specimen had sustained compound fractures of the cleithra and wanted parts of two teeth.
