Spiraea japonica 'Gold Flame' in spring leaf

Spiraea japonica 'Gold Flame' has soft pink buds and small leaves in late winter. By early spring and as the leaves grow they change to bronze and gold. This is followed by pink flowers in the summer. The plant has been given the RHS award of Garden Merit.
