Antique Reinhold Merkelbach one litre stein designed by Albin Muller circa 1910. The stein is decorated with six Secessionist relief ovals and has a domed pewter cover and upright thumb piece. The stoneware stein is covered in a fine speckled salt glaze. The base has the makers and designers impressed marks including the shape number 2212. The stein has the one litre mark near the rim, this can be seen in the first photograph. The large stein measures 23cm high to the top of the thumb piece.
