modern architecture Palazzo dell'Intendenza di Finanza, Naples Italy

The Palazzo dell'Intendenza di Finanza, the Financial Offices and the State Attorney's Office is a building in Naples, located in Via Armando Diaz, in the Carità district. It was designed by Marcello Canino between the Palazzo della Banca Nazionale del Lavoro and the Palazzo Matteotti and built between 1933 and 1937, taking the place of the complex of San Tommaso d'Aquino. As with other buildings built in Naples in the 20th century, it represents an example of monumental architecture. The building has a rectangular plan with an apsidal side: the structure is in reinforced concrete, with brick tompagni visible also on the façade .
