American soldiers in 18th century uniform from the time of the French & Indian War and the American Revolution; Revolutionary War; War of Independence, firing their flintlock muskets. Fort Frederick was completed in 1756 after an existing design by Vauban. The Fort's stone wall and two barracks have been fully restored to their 1758 appearance. It's open seven days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day and on the weekends in the spring and fall.
