This male kingfisher bird was captured on camera on a perch from a hide showing the brightly coloured colored orange red and blue electric blue plumage against a soft background of reeds and rushes. I used a sigma 150-600 lens on a canon 60d digital SLR camera, using the back button focusing technique for single shot and continuous focusing.
