David Lloyd George (1863-1945), British Prime Minister from 1916 to 1922. He was a strong and effective leader during WW I, and he was a major player in the Paris Peace Conference of 1919. Before the war, he had been in the House of Commons, had been a leader of the Liberal Party, and was Chancellor of the Exchequer.
