The habit of growth isthe same in both, but in the formhere referred to the spike is longer,and the flowers are larger, and al-together superior in colour ; thesepals and petals are delicate rose,margined with white, and the broadflat emarginate lip is of an intensemagenta-crimson, the three crestsbeing white, and accompanied byseveral small pinkish stripes.—Brazil.
