An Oxlip in bloom Hayley Wood Cambridgeshire UK 13th April 2013. National Beanpole Week runs between 13-21st April 2013 and celebrates Britain’s coppiced woodlands, the animals and plants that live in them, the workers who look after them and the beanpoles and other coppice wood products they produce. Oxlips are a scarce wild flower found exclusively in ancient woodlands within a 40 mile radius of Cambridge. It is associated with coppice - managed woods.
