Flowers of Gentiana acaulis


Gentiana Acaulis, or Gentianella, is native to central and southern Europe, from eastern Spain to the Balkans. It grows in mountainous regions, such as the Alps, the Cevennes and the Pyrenees, at altitudes between 800 and 3,000 m. It grows on acid soils and prefers exposures in full sun.
