Graffiti is controversial. Some people see it as vibrant street art that enlivens the public domain; others regard the street artist's imposition of their work on public space without public permission as undemocratic and a form of vandalism. This photo was taken to contrast the organic aesthetic of overlapping graffiti on a wall - a palimpsest! - with the rectilinear 'concrete jungle' facade of the car park behind. I will leave it to others to judge whether the graffiti improves or despoils the
