During an arribada (mass nesting event) olive ridley sea turtles (Lepidochelys olivacea) can be observed during the different stages of nesting. After digging the hole with their rear flippers and laying about 100 eggs the nest is closed, the sand compacted with the rear flippers and the plastron before as a last step of camouflage loose sand is thrown over it with the front flippers.
