Costume of Isigny. Her bonnet is even larger than that of Bayeux, with wings that are lifted and folded to join in the middle before falling to the side. Isigny is famous for its cider and butter. Hand-colored fashion plate illustration by Lante engraved by Gatine from Louis-Marie Lante's "Costumes des femmes du Pays de Caux," 1827/1885. With their tall Alsation lace hats, the women of Caux and Normandy were famous for the elegance and style.
